About Us

Biblically Inspired is a group for those who wish to share their art or literature that has been inspired by the Bible and its teachings, or their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Rules:

1.) It must be your art or literature.

2.) Your art needs to bring glory to God. Only art that contains the Christian message, is in line with a Biblical Christian Worldview, and/or contains and encourages Christian themes (forgiveness, honesty, love, etc.) and living will be accepted. You should strive to communicate truth, or uplift others.

I'm opening the group to whatever submissions you would like as long as this criteria is met. I know that not everyone has the same taste in art and that we are all unique, so I've recently added additional folders to be accommodating.

When there is question regarding what should be accepted, myself and the co-founders will do our best to judge rightly on a personal basis. Understand that we don't always agree with one another.

3.) You must be a member of the group to contribute/submit art. Please send a request and we'll get back to you asap. If we can see evidence that you are a Christian in either your art or profile, and believe that you would be a good fit, we will allow you to join. i say 'good fit' because we have run across people with very different perspectives than ourselves, and weren't sure that allowing this person/people to join would be beneficial.

4.) Every denomination (Lutheran, Catholic, Pentecostal, Baptist, Methodist, etc.) is welcome. We may have our differences, but I think that if you believe that Jesus is the son of God and trust in Him for salvation, you are a part of God's family. Make sure that what you submit doesn't put down one or more denominations. We want to strive for unity.

5) Please do your best to contribute to the correct folder(s). If you do not see one that best describes what you've created, please contact us and we'll create a new folder. I may rearrange things as I see fit.

6) Feel free to tell your friends about the group. I've made some changes in hopes that this will become a bigger community that is able to appreciate and discuss one another's talents and interests. In other words, this group is now about fellowship. Thanks for being a member!

This info and rules are subject to change.

FAQS:

Q: What shouldn't I submit?

A: Anything that encourages others to sin or contains themes that may trip up your brothers and sisters who are struggling in certain areas. To give some brief examples of what I won't tolerate, here is a short list: pornography, promiscuity or sexual context, the promotion of bullying, rape, murder, discrimination, hatred or worship of idols. I understand that some stories may contain these, but I believe that there is a difference between showing that choices have consequences or are wrong, and excusing them. If you have mature or questionable content in your story, please note this to your description, so that your potential readers are in the know.

I have updated the rules recently because we received some submissions that indicated that their were members that wished to make fun of/put down people from various denominations. This group is not the place to do so. I believe that God doesn't ignore those who come to Him with a submissive, humble, loving spirit.

Q: Can I submit a story that contains magic and or supernatural elements?

A: While I read books by authors like J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Ted Dekker, who either claim to be Christian and or write from a Christian perspective, I also realize that the Bible tells us not to practice witchcraft. That being said, I think that if your story or art depicts a fantasy world or states that God has given someone a supernatural ability to see things others don't in order to illustrate a Biblical concept, you can submit your art. People can tell the difference between a story that is themed fantasy or science fiction, and one that is not. Readers are asked to use their own judgement in regards to what art they enjoy, and to respect that not everyone feels the same way on this sometimes controversial topic.

Q: Can I submit art that was created by myself and another person?

A: If you want to submit art that belongs to someone else that you have added features to, you may do so. However, A) You need to ask/have asked the artist if it is okay to make edits to/ resubmit their work. B) You should give the other person credit by listing their name in the description of the art and C) You must spend a decent amount of time in regards to your contribution. 'We want to share things that we are proud of and that you can call your own.

Whats up in Middle East?Folks everywhere are asking that question. Should we be concerned? Should we be worried? Here in America with hundreds of terrorists flooding our open border, should we be afraid? Are we headed for WW3? The answer is yes, and no. And it’s not a simple answer. A good history book can shine some light into the darkness. And since the Middle East turmoil is religious in nature, the best place to search for that history was written back when it all started; the Old Testament of the Bible. Genesis 25 shows it all began over four thousand years ago with the birth of Esau and Jacob, Issac’s sons, Abraham’s grandsons. Jacob and Esau were twins. Esau was born first, and should have received the birthright. But one day Esau was out hunting. He came back home hungry and found Jacob cooking a vegetable stew. Esau sold his birthright to Jacob in exchange for a bowl of soup. God rejected Esau for his “priorities.” He was thinking about his stomach, not God. Jacob’s mother helped trick his father into giving him the firstborn’s blessing. The Angel of the Lord changed Jacob’s name to Israel (Genesis 35), and he became the progenitor of the Israeli line. Esau left the family in wrath and dwelt in the north to become the father of the Edomites. Jacob (now Israel) and his children dwelt in the area now considered to be Palestine. This has been the cause of the strife in the Middle East for the last four thousand years. To discover what is going on today, we turn to the book of the prophet Ezekiel, who prophesied over twenty-five hundred years ago an event known as Ezekiel’s War. Many of Ezekiel’s prophecies have already come to pass. Some concerning the End Times are happening even now. Ezekiel chapter 36 is an explanation of why the Jews were taken from their homeland and dispersed around the world, leaving the once fertile land of Israel a vacant desert. Because of Israel’s rebellion, God lifted his hand of protection from them. Many were taken into captivity, some died by the sword, some simply fled to escape persecution. In this 36th chapter of Ezekiel, God is calling Israel back. He will bless them and turn the land into a garden again. But first He has to deal with what He calls “the enemy.” Verse 5 states; “. . . I (the Lord God) have spoken in my burning jealousy against the rest of the nations and against all Edom, who gave the land to themselves as a possession . . .” Edom, or Edomites, refers to the sons of Esau, Jacob’s brother. Chapter 36:1-2 reveal to whom God is speaking in the following four chapters. “O mountains of Israel . . . Because the enemy has said of you ‘Aha! The ancient heights have become our possession . . .’” This word is directed to those (the Edomites) who have tried to move in and claim the vacated land of Israel. They have renamed it Palestine to try to reinforce their claim. The land was originally called Philistia, land of the Philistines. Palestine didn’t officially exist until the area was so named by the British in 1920. The land became Israel over three-thousand years earlier, two-thousand five-hundred years before Islam was born. But this four-chapter prophecy is not so much about Israel, as it is about her enemies. In chapter 38 and 39, these enemies are enumerated, and their end prophesied. Chapter 37 begins with the vision of the valley of dry bones. Ezekiel is shown a valley covered with bones. He spoke to them and they came to life; bone, sinew, and flesh, and blood, becoming complete people. God explained, these are the people of Israel who will return from dispersion to the land God gave them. This prophecy in the 37th chapter was fulfilled in 1948, nearly twenty-five-hundred years later. In the last seventy years, the land of Israel has flourished and bloomed, as Ezekiel said it would. Israel now lives in relative peace and prosperity in a land of unwalled villages. Keep this description in mind as we proceed into chapter 38. Chapter 38 and 39 are what biblical scholars commonly refer to as Ezekiel’s War. This war is NOT the battle of Armageddon. Though both are End Times occurrences, they are two separate wars. Ezekiel’s war involves the Islamic world, specifically the Edomites, as they come against Israel for the last time. This happens before the seven years of Tribulation. The Battle of Armageddon brings the Tribulation to a close, as the remaining remnant of mankind led by the Antichrist, come against The King of Kings, His saints, and the angelic host. In chapter 38, God is setting up Edom, and preparing to judge the enemies of Israel. God addresses Gog in verse 4. “I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army . . .” Here, He names the forces to surround Israel. Gog – The prince and head of all the armies of Edom who will attack Israel. Gog is a spirit being, the chief demonic prince and ruler over the Middle East. Magog – A land to the North of Israel, probably modern Lebanon, Syria, and Jordan. Rosh – To the North of Magog. Probably the Russian steppes and southern Russia. Meshach and Tubal – The area of ancient Assyria, from the western bank of the Tigris through Iraq, Syria, and Armenia. Persia – Iran. Gomer – The many ‘stans; Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. Togarmah – Turkey, Armenia, the area surrounding the Black Sea. Ethiopia and Lybia – This would include the Muslim countries across the northern tier of Africa. The prophecy does not mention the Arabian nations; Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and the Arab Emirates. But they are a different branch of Islam. Edom is predominately Shia, the Arabs, mostly Sunni. The two branches have differing doctrines and don’t play well together. This may be part of the reason Egypt (Sunni) will not allow fleeing Shia Muslims from Gaza to enter their country. That, and the Gazans seem to be considered poison throughout the Middle East, due to Hamas’ terrorist proclivities. The prophecy does say that one-sixth of the Islamic world will remain. The Arab Nations may be those. Gog and his crew will see the Jews as “a people dwelling in peace in villages without walls, bars, or gates.” They will say to themselves, “these people are easy prey. Let us go down and take booty.” Chapter 38:10-13 explain why. Keep in mind, this prophecy is over twenty-five hundred years old. In the last seventy years, Israel has flourished. Their manufacturing and tech are the envy of the world. They have caused the desert to bloom. Green houses supply food for much of the Middle East. Their desalination plants provide water, and nuclear reactors provide electricity. Edom’s forces become envious and say among themselves, “The people are defenseless. Let us go down and take this rich land for ourselves.” But as they prepare to go down, God’s wrath will be kindled. He will confuse the forces, something He’s been very good at throughout the Old Testament. (Example: 1 Samuel 14:20) They will begin to kill each other, possibly because of greed and jealousy. The prophecy states they will die by the sword, by plague and pestilence (Biological Warfare?), and by a rain of fire (nukes?). Israel has tactical nukes, of one kilo-ton or less. No one knows for sure how many; the number is a tightly held secret. Chapter 39:1-8, foretells the total annihilation of the force of Gog for the glory of God. The whole world will watch what is happening, and realize God stepped in. He says, “I will give you to the birds of prey, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.” Starting at Verse 9, the prophecy says the people will burn the weapons of war for seven years. Verse 11 continues with the clean up by saying the people of Israel will bury the bodies of Gog’s forces for seven months. Men will be regularly employed to do this. Chapter 39, verse 21 to the end, God will restore Israel, the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:28). God will be glorified for His righteous judgement on Israel’s enemies, and the rest of the world will recognize it. Ezekiel prophesied that God will put a hook in the jaw of Gog and his minions. They will be drawn into the “mountains of Israel” where the battle is to take place. Does this mean we will be safe here in America? Not necessarily. Some may stay to bring the battle to the “Great Satan,” to keep us occupied and out of the war. But God is bringing an end to Edom, the followers of Gog. Even Japan knew during WW2, “You don’t attack the U.S. Mainland, where there is a rifle hidden behind every blade of grass.” We must remain vigilant. Even now Iran is rattling its sabers, threatening to join in the battle. The stream of time is swirling down the drain ever more quickly. The end times are here. The people of Israel are returning to God in droves, and acknowledging His divine protection. If this is the start of Ezekiel’s war, it is only the beginning of the end. The next sign will be the rapture, where all of mankind will see the departure, or the “catching away” of the Church. When the Church leaves, so does God’s Holy Spirit who is holding everything in check. After the rapture, God will turn His back on the world and all literal HELL will break loose for seven years. It will end with the battle of Armageddon, where God will blow His breath on the armies of Antichrist, and they all fall dead. (Revelation 19:17-21) I wouldn’t want to be here....

Since I'm only able to get on this website about once a month, I'm wondering if anyone else would want to be an admin. (I currently have one, but I do not know how active she is. It seems like there has been some artwork falling through the cracks lately, and I feel badly about that.)  It would be great if you have previous experience, but it is fine if you do not.  All you would have to do is go by the rules that I've outlined in order to accept new members and incoming art work. I'll check back in the next few days to see if anyone is interested. I wish I could be more active, but I'm currently trying to wrap up my college degree, and I'm currently putting in 12-14 hour days. :(
